[SAAL: SALES AGENT]

Native Before Custom

2 MIN READ

Shopify B2B already models companies, locations, catalogs, and price lists. Rebuilding that inside an app would create a second source of truth for prices and a second place to keep in sync.

So the app reads those objects instead of replacing them. Your catalogs and agreed prices stay where your team already maintains them. And where Shopify's own functionality already covers what you need, that gets said out loud rather than sold around.

What Else That Makes Possible:

Deeper integration with third-party systems, your ERP for example. When all configuration and permission data lives in Shopify metafields, as it does with Saal: Sales Agent, connecting a central permission or commission system gets considerably easier.

It also means the regular Shopify GraphQL APIs can be used, with their existing documentation, tutorials, and large community behind them.

Tracking down problems yourself gets easier too. An internal Shopify admin can check the permissions directly and adjust them if needed, without leaving the system. And because the permission model is based on Shopify customers / companies and tags, existing structures can be carried over: if territories are already divided up among your sales agents on a tag basis, that split can simply be reused.
