FIELD SALES ORDERS, DIRECTLY IN YOUR SHOPIFY STOREFRONT
Your portal is live. Part of your order volume still goes around it.
The pattern is the same in almost every B2B project: the store is live, catalogs and price lists are maintained, and some customers order on their own. The rest still call, send an email, or hand over the order during a sales visit. Those orders reach the ERP, but never the store.
So they are missing everywhere you actually need to make your case: in the share of digitally captured orders, in the customer's order history, in the basis for reorders and recommendations. The channel looks smaller than the business really is.
WHAT CHANGES WITH THE APP
Offline orders become store orders
The sales rep signs in to the storefront on behalf of the customer and places the order exactly where the customer would place it themselves. What used to end up as a re-entry in the admin or an ERP document is created as a regular store order: with history, reporting, and every downstream process attached.
Field sales becomes an onboarding channel
The rep sits with the customer and orders in precisely the view the customer will use afterwards, without a separate order-entry tool. “Let me give you a call” turns into “let me show you this once.” Instead of letting orders bypass the portal indefinitely, you move customers into self-service step by step.
Terms apply automatically
Catalog, price list, volume tiers, and order rules come from the storefront, not from the memory of whoever types the order in. Wrong prices, outdated tiers, and the credit notes that follow from them disappear on exactly those orders that are re-entered by hand today and are therefore the most error-prone.
No special path through the back office
An order from field sales is an ordinary order. If the company has a payment method such as invoice on file, a regular order is created with that payment method, and every process attached to it applies unchanged. With a credit card on file, the payment itself can be captured right away. Automatic invoicing from the ERP runs as usual, as do fulfillment, notifications, and reporting. There is no second order path you have to account for in every integration.
Attribution on every order
Every order is attributed to the sales rep who placed it. You can see what share of your orders still arrives by phone, email, and field visit, and how that share develops as customers move into self-service.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR NUMBERS
The effect is not primarily saved time, it is the size and data quality of the channel. Orders that are created outside Shopify today get captured, including customer history and assortment data. Customers who have never touched the store see it alongside someone they already trust. And the orders with the highest error rate now run through the same pricing logic as every other order.
